Award-winning sustainable housebuilder Greencore Homes has appointed Helen Moore as Board Chair, bringing one of the housebuilding sector’s most respected leaders to the business.
Forward-thinking Greencore Homes is aiming to deliver 10,000 Better Than Net Zero homes by 2035. The business has attracted significant institutional backing from the likes of M&G and Homes England.
With more than 35 years’ experience, Helen has held senior roles at listed developers Countryside and Crest Nicholson and gone on to lead transformation and growth at City & Country and Orbit Homes, the development arm of Orbit Group. She now advises boards and investors on strategy, governance and organisational performance, and serves as a Non-Executive Director at the Home Builders Federation, PIC’s FPRP Verda Living and Last Mile Infrastructure.
Helen Moore, Chair of Greencore Homes, said:
“Greencore Homes has established itself as a leader in Better Than Net Zero homes, helping to address some of the biggest challenges facing the housing sector. It is an exciting time to join the business as Chair, with ambitious plans for growth, a clear mission to create both sustainable and healthier homes and a leadership team and investors who are passionate about that vision. I look forward to working with the board and the wider team to support the company’s next phase of growth.”
Jon Di-Stefano, CEO of Greencore Homes, said:
“Helen brings exceptional experience across the housebuilding industry, with deep expertise in governance, strategy and performance. Her insight will be invaluable as we build on our momentum and continue to grow. Our goal remains clear; to show that housebuilding can, and should, deliver more for people, communities and the planet.
“I would also like to thank Martin Pike for his leadership during a period of significant growth and change for the business. Throughout that time, he has been a passionate supporter of Greencore Homes and a valued mentor to the team.”
Martin Pike, who founded the business alongside Ian Pritchett in 2013, will continue as a member of the Greencore Homes Board.
Backed by the £5 billion M&G Catalyst Fund, Greencore Homes is developing sustainable homes across the Golden Triangle, with projects underway in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, and plans to expand further across the UK.
