This is an exciting new development of family homes that will completely transform the Trinity South site as part of a major redevelopment scheme for the area.

The new homes will be built on a 13.1 acre site including part of the former Circatex factory site at the southern end of Frederick Street. All properties will be built to meet level 3 of the Government’s Code for Sustainable Homes and the homes will include environmental design features that will also help residents reduce their household bills. Trinity South forms part of the South Shields Riverside Regeneration masterplan alongside five other neighbourhoods, and is expected to take six years to complete.

The development will ultimately bring 222 two, three and four bedroom family homes, including 20 affordable homes, which will be available to rent through South Tyneside Homes. All homes will achieve Level 3 of the Government‘s Code for Sustainable Homes, making them greener than is required by building regulations. The new homes have also been designed to meet the Homes and Communities Design Quality Standards, meaning that they will be significantly larger than the properties house builders usually construct for first-time buyers.
