Work starts on new homes in Penistone

One of the country’s leading housebuilders has started work on a 11 acre site at the foot of the Pennines.

Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire plans to build 139 homes in the picturesque town of Penistone.

Surrounded by beautiful and historic countryside, Hartcliff Meadows, will feature a mix of three, four and five bedroom homes aimed at appealing to all budgets and lifestyle.

Simon Whalley, sales director at Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, said:

“This is an exciting new development in an attractive town which is close to major road networks, cities and towns and has the beauty of the spectacular Peak District scenery nearby.”

“To reflect the scenic backdrop of Hartcliff Meadows each of the properties will feature a stone-effect fronted exterior. There is a feature walled entrance with an abundant of open spaces throughout the development.”

Penistone has much to offer in ways of history and culture, with the town having been listed in the Domesday Book. Its semi-rural setting is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with the Peak District National Park being just a short drive away.

The market town boasts all the amenities required for daily life with a number of schools and a railway station, which provides a regular service to Huddersfield and Sheffield.

Schemes will also be available to help buyers move into their dream home, including the Government-backed Help to Buy, Persimmon’s Part Exchange and Home Change packages.

Simon concluded:

“Our sales team will be on hand from the end of August and we are working towards winter completions.”

“We have already received a number of enquiries and are encouraging customers to register their interest so we can keep them up-to-date with the sites’ developments”
