A leading housebuilder says work is now underway on a new multi-million pound housing development in Sherburn-in-Elmet.
Persimmon Homes Yorkshire was given the green light by Selby District Council to begin construction on the site off Low Street, with 224 homes scheduled to be built.
The Ceretic Park development, as it will become known, is expected to support over 500 jobs and will deliver a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes.
Kevin Thubron, sales director at Persimmon Homes Yorkshire, says:
“The location is key.”
“Sherburn-in-Elmet offers buyers the best of both worlds; it’s a popular well-presented village with all the convenient local amenities needed for daily life plus excellent commuter links by road and rail to Leeds, York, Hull and Sheffield.”
Schemes will also be available to help buyers move into their dream home, including the Government-backed Help to Buy, Persimmon’s Part Exchange and Home Change packages.
“Our sales team will be on site from 10 October and we are working towards releasing our first properties for sale later that month.”
“We have already received a number of enquiries and are encouraging customers to register their interest so we can keep them up-to-date with the site’s developments.”
