We’re extremely proud to announce our involvement in delivering Bellway Homes’ latest research project, ‘The Future Home @ The University of Salford,’ also known as the Energy House 2.0, which intends to address domestic energy efficiency challenges by putting low carbon technologies to the test.
WMS was selected by Bellway Homes to design, supply and install underfloor heating systems throughout the Future Home, paired with an Air Source Heat Pump to create a best-in-class, zero emissions heating system.
The eco home was constructed within one of the four environmental chambers inside Energy House 2.0 a collaborative project between Bellway Homes, and other partners, including the University of Salford, Barratt Developments, Muse Developments and Saint Gobain.
The developer and project partners will then use the research results to understand the best combination of technologies to reduce a domestic property’s carbon footprint and household energy bills.
