UK Worker of the Year 2016 goes live with prizes including £250k cash

UK Worker of the Year (UK WOTY), sponsored by workwear giants Dickies in association with Honda and ASDA, has an amazing choice of prizes this year.

Those include £250,000 cash, a Honda Jazz car, a Honda Crosstourer 1200cc motorbike, a Honda Marine Rib boat, a year’s free shopping at ASDA, a luxury holiday and many more goodies.

Homicide case worker Katie Washbourne, winner of UK Worker of the Year 2015, commented:

“I would urge everyone who hears about the competition to log on to the website and enter. It doesn’t cost you a penny apart from a couple of minutes and winning can change your life. It certainly did for me and I also met some lovely people along the way and really enjoyed the journey.”

UK WOTY is open to anyone in the UK who works. It doesn’t matter where you work or what your position and responsibilities are and you can enter yourself or indeed nominate colleagues, friends and family who you think are worthy of recognition of the title.

In the past we have had winners and finalists from so many varied industries and it’s so simple to enter and will only take a matter of minutes. All you need to do is go to www.ukworkeroftheyear.com and answer two simple questions about what your job is and why you think you or your nominee should win UKWOTY.

Kirk Ehrlich, President of Williamson-Dickie Europe Ltd, said:

“We are delighted to have opened up this year’s competition and to have the exciting association with two outstanding brands such as ASDA and Honda make for a fantastic seventh year for the UK Worker of the Year competition”.

This year’s UK Worker of the Year competition has only recently been launched and runs through to September. It’s the seventh year Dickies has run the national competition, and the Somerset-based workwear company has announced the winners’ prize will come from our associate sponsor Honda and be a choice of a Jazz car, Crosstourer motorbike, Rib boat with trailer. Dickies will also offer the choice of a luxury holiday worth £5000.

Alongside these fabulous prizes, ASDA will give the winner a year’s free shopping and the runner up and third place will also receive 3 months and a month’s free shopping and £2000.00 and £1000.00 holiday vouchers respectively.

The winner will also have the chance of winning £250,000.00 in cash, should they predict the top 6 of the a chosen British Superbike race at Brands Hatch in October, which is where the final gala event will take place to announce the recipient of the UK WOTY 2016 title.
