A soon to launch Stockport housing venture will enable Elan Homes to build on its success and cement its reputation as a niche developer.
Cherry Tree Park will see 65 homes built on a 4.5 acre parcel of land that was once home to Cherry Tree Hospital.
Construction of the properties started in January and as work has progressed Elan has seen an uplift in enquiries.
Marie Morris, sales director for Ellesmere Port based Elan Homes in the North, said:
“Elan has a reputation as a niche housebuilder, providing new homes in some of the most desirable neighbourhoods. Up until now our North West business has been very much focused on intimate developments of large and luxurious properties and some apartment schemes. We’re relishing the challenge of building and selling homes on a larger scale and are looking forward to releasing the first properties at Cherry Tree Park for sale.”
“There’s certainly a demand for new homes in the area. In recent weeks we’ve been receiving an average of eight calls a day from people keen to find out more about the properties and when they will be available to buy.”
Cherry Tree Park will offer 49 properties for private sale. The remaining 16 will be affordable homes.
Situated in the prime residential suburb of Great Moor, the development is close to Hazel Grove, Offerton and Woodsmoor with good local amenities including schools, a library and restaurants all within easy reach.
Each property will be offered with a Home User Guide (HUG) containing everything buyers need to know about their home and the area. Available in conjunction with the National House Building Council (NHBC), it includes the 10 year warranty on the property and even sends homeowners reminders about regular maintenance and DIY tips.
Detailed floor plans and even the materials used, including bricks and paint colours, will be recorded in the HUG for future reference.
