At a time when weather patterns are changing and flooding becomes more frequent, we are working to simplify costly supply chains and lower carbon footprints without compromising quality.
Weather patterns over the last five years, and increasingly so over the last three, suggest that we will be enduring heavier rain in more concentrated spells. This is leading to a higher rate of flooding which in turn is affecting developers and commercial and domestic property owners alike. With legislation changes now being implemented to incorporate SuDS as part of holistic schemes, there’s an opportunity for these schemes to incorporate even more sustainable practices as well, including where the required materials are sourced.
We talk to lots of likeminded businesses across the UK and Ireland who tell us that, whilst the quality of products available to them are of excellent quality, there doesn’t seem to be anyone quite as forward thinking as IBRAN in terms of how the products are actually manufactured.
Our ambition has always been to manufacture as high quality materials as already established in the market, but apply our own “greenprint”, using low energy, renewable-powered manufacturing processes and locally sourced recycled materials to minimise the carbon footprint, simplify costly supply chains and lock up the plastic in surface water drainage products intended for very long-term use.
This is the IBRAN “GreenPrint”.
