RICS conference set to debate the future of Strategic Facilities Management

Today, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) revealed the programme for its Strategic Facilities Management (FM) conference on Tuesday 14 June 2016.

The conference will see leading Futurologist and CEO at Ungroup, Philip Ross, share his insights and views on what the future looks like for the FM profession and how FM leaders can add real value.

Paul Bagust, Director of the RICS’ UK Commercial Property Professional Group, said:

“The conference will explore how strategic FM can drive innovation to help anticipate future client needs. With sessions such as the development of Artificial Intelligence in FM, ‘Smart’ FM and how to create effective workplaces to attract, promote and retain talent on the agenda, the event will highlight ways to demonstrate the value of FM leaders and how to collaborate with clients and suppliers.”

Chaired by RICS Facilities Management board Chair, Kath Fontana FRICS – Managing Director at ISS, the leading global provider of facility services, key themes such as the importance of collaboration between FM and construction, FM in critical environments and strategic procurement, will be discussed and debated throughout the day.

The one-day conference will see influential speakers share their knowledge and expertise while providing insightful case studies on how innovations and practices have been implemented within their own organisations.

Among them will be Rory Murphy FRICS, Commercial Director at VINCI Facilities; Martin Holt FRICS, CEO at Bellrock; Chris Hoar, Co-Founder at AIinFM; Bridget Hardy MRICS, Workplace Transformation Strategist; Sam Hockman FRICS, Managing Director of Healthcare & Education at Engie and Jo Harris FRICS, Business Manager at BSRIA.
