THE Lancashire division of Redrow is up for Best Housebuilder after being shortlisted in awards which celebrate the North West’s construction industry.
Redrow’s Chorley based operation was nominated for a Grafters Award by several people including one of the housebuilder’s sub-contractors, Liverpool-based Core Safe Consultants. The nominations were invited from a database of 1,400 people and 9,000 votes have been cast in just the first few days of the voting opening.
Steve Greenhalgh, managing director of Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said:
“We’re thrilled to have been nominated in the Best Housebuilder category, especially as this year Redrow is celebrating its 40th anniversary. It would be fantastic for the division to walk away with such a coveted gong to add to our celebrations.”
Redrow’s Chorley based division builds homes across Lancashire and in parts of Great Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire. As well as its popular Heritage Collection of traditional looking family homes, the company also builds smaller one and two-bedroom properties suitable for first time buyers and large, luxurious £1.25m-plus villas.
The division employs approximately 140 people within its Lancashire regional office, at Buckshaw Village, near Chorley, and on its building sites, as well as providing full-time employment for hundreds of sub-contractors.
The winner of each category of The Grafters will receive an award at a glittering gala dinner which will take place on March 20 at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Old Trafford.
The 20 categories also include Best Contractor, Best Structural Engineering Company, Best Quantity Surveying Practice and Best Residential Interior Designer.
Grafters is the only organisation solely dedicated to networking and celebrating the North West’s construction industry.
