Two worthy regional organisations are celebrating after being selected to receive community funding from a leading housebuilder.
Alfe’s Cause and Roade Football Club have each been selected to receive £1,000 through the Persimmon Homes Midlands Community Champions scheme.
Claire Davidson, head of sales for Persimmon Homes Midlands, said:
“Our national match-funding programme seeks to support groups and charities working to improve the quality of life or environment across the region.
“This month we are proud to support two worthy organisations which are working hard to make a real difference to their communities.”
Alfe’s Cause is a local charity that supports Northamptonshire families whose children are diagnosed with cancer and other long term illnesses. The charity was founded after 12 year old Alfe went into remission from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and he wanted to help other children going through a similar situation to his own.
Persimmon Homes’ donation will help the continuation of the charity’s monthly activity meetings for families which provide a supportive social network whilst helping to reduce the social isolation that can be associated with long term illness.
