Newland Homes creates new head of marketing role

Newland Homes is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Parker to the role of head of marketing. In this new role for the company, Chris will lead the marketing department and oversee the independent housebuilder’s marketing strategies and initiatives.

Chris brings a wealth of experience to this position, having worked in sales and marketing since the late 90s when he secured his first role with Beazer Homes. Chris joined Newland Homes as marketing manager in 2013 and has played a key role in developing the company’s brand, marketing campaigns and driving sales growth. As a chartered marketeer, Chris’ expertise in digital marketing and branding has been instrumental in the company’s success.

In his new role, Chris will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that support the housebuilder’s focus on delivering energy efficient, low and zero carbon homes. He intends to continue championing Newland Homes’ pioneering approach to climate considerate development, as the emphasis on creating greener, more energy efficient homes is closely aligned to his personal and professional values.

Chris comments:

“I’ll continue to shine a light on the high quality of our developments, as I’m very proud to be working in an environment where employees have created a cutting-edge, zero carbon home. Looking to the future, I’ll be further supporting our sales teams by introducing more digital experiences, be it through brochures, videos, social media, or our new website which will be unveiled imminently, and our internal communications will be bolstered through various initiatives too.”

Chris will continue to report to Marcus Evans, sales and marketing director for Newland Homes. He comments:

“We have Chris to thank for creating the ubiquitous Newland Homes brand and for continuing to ensure it is held in such high regard by our customers and industry partners alike. It’s a pleasure working with Chris as he continues to evolve our marketing function and he brings energy and professionalism to our team.”

Chris’ sights were set on a career in the housebuilding industry from an early age, as he grew up close to the construction site of Bradley Stoke in North Bristol – Europe’s largest new build town in the late 1980s. He commenced a letter writing campaign in his early teens, sending letters to housebuilders asking for careers advice and to visit their developments, which he would then do on his bike at the weekend! He received sage advice from many industry stalwarts because of this initiative and he encourages those starting out in the housebuilding profession to be tenacious, as it will be rewarded.

Newland Homes is a climate considerate housebuilder, established in 1991. The company has developments underway in Tickenham and Claverham in North Somerset, Chapmanslade, Semington, Malmesbury and Westbury in Wiltshire, Leckhampton in Gloucestershire and Yate in South Gloucestershire. In 2021, Newland Homes introduced its pioneering zero carbon homes, which use renewable technologies for heat and power and all upcoming developments will provide zero carbon homes.
