The new sales boss at a leading house builder has spoken of the “huge opportunity for development and growth” in the East Midlands.
Highly-experienced Steven Allenby has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at Persimmon Homes East Midlands, which is based in Peterborough and operates across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and parts of Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
Steven, originally from Glasgow, started his working life as an estate agent in the Scottish Highlands. He gained some valuable experience in new builds and consequently landed the job of Head of Sales at Barratt West Scotland.
Steven has also held senior positions at Morrison Homes and Fairview New Homes and was managing director of a private builder in Leyland, Rowland Homes.
“I am delighted to have been appointed to this key position in the business.
“This is an exciting period in house building with a huge opportunity for development and growth.
“There’s a massive demand for good quality new housing so the future is looking bright.
“We have just launched The Heights in Newark and we have six to eight new developments on the horizon in the next six months.”
Steven, who lives in Harpenden in Hertfordshire, said he was determined to improve customer journey at the business.
“We have a fantastic array of different people here from all sorts of backgrounds. It’s a real eclectic mix, but with their commitment and enthusiasm it really is great to be part of the team.
“The challenge is for us to improve customer experience right across the board and to make us more effective and sharper. There is a common goal within the business and we are making huge strides towards this.”
Simon McDonald, managing director at Persimmon Homes East Midlands, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Steven to the team.
“He is an experienced guy having worked right across the country.
“Steven has only been here a few weeks but we have already seen a glimpse of his passion and his management style.
“I’m sure he will help to further improve standards within the business.”
