New director appointed to lead Keepmoat in the South West

National housing and regeneration specialist, Keepmoat have appointed Paul Munro as their New Build Director for the South West in a move that bolsters their plans to expand the business across the region.

Paul, 54, from Newton Abbott, will lead a new division within the business that will deliver new build schemes, focus on delivering all tenures of Affordable Housing, Care and Extra Care schemes, as well as Joint Venturing and client partnering.

The appointment builds on the foundations of the existing south west refurbishment team, which is already delivering projects worth around £20 million per year.

Previously Regional Director (SW) at Galliford Try, Paul’s background includes housing, care and land-led developments and he brings with him an extensive list of contacts and experience from the region and a broad knowledge of new build market sectors and procurement routes.

Commenting upon his appointment, Paul said:

“I’ve worked within the industry for over 30 years in the south west and will bring this experience to bear in my new role at Keepmoat. I’m looking forward to a new challenge in what is a forward thinking organisation with a clear aspiration to increase our market share in the region.”

Paul’s appointment was part of a larger recruitment drive by the company, which has seen the creation of up to 50 new jobs to support Keepmoat’s growth in the south after securing land for homes in Peterborough and Cambridge and additional orders throughout the region including Ipswich and Harrow, totalling over 250 homes.

Dan Germann, Managing Director of Keepmoat in the south, said:

“Paul’s appointment comes at a time when we look to develop our business into new areas, bringing affordable, high-quality homes and care provisions to towns and cities where they are much needed in the south.

“Paul brings with him a wealth of skills and experience from his previous roles that will help us strengthen our offer in the market place and win new business in this region. These are exciting times for Keepmoat and I look forward to welcoming and working alongside Paul.”
