Heckmondwike FB is celebrating the huge success of its Array range of fibre bonded carpet tiles one year since its launch, which is proving a popular choice with education and commercial buildings.
Renowned for its six vibrant Accent colours, Blue, Black, Red, Lime, Purple and Magenta, this range has opened up exciting design opportunities for architects and building designers with fibre bonded carpet.
Its unique pattern incorporates contemporary flashes of colour across the body of the carpet, which complements perfectly the six striking colours from the Broadrib range.
One recent installation where Array is providing a striking yet durable flooring solution is The Oldham Academy North in Greater Manchester. Here, 1,400m2 of Array tiles in Purple were used to create a strong school identity throughout the new academy bu-ilding, which replaces the old academy on Rochdale Road.
Architects Aedas specified Array because of its mid-width rib design with charcoal background enhanced with a subtle linear pattern in Purple. This delicately complemented the strong purple internal walls and external facades that feature predominantly throughout the academy.
Array can also be enhanced by contrasting colour and texture options from Heckmondwike’s Broadrib range, with a choice of Red, Blue, Purple, Lime, Magenta or Black available in both ranges.
Carol Smalley, Assistant Principal at The Oldham Academy North, said:
“Array matched our requirements of a high quality carpet to give a professional finish to the interior of the academy. The purple pattern compliments our corporate colours and adds to the ambience of our state of the art academy building.”
Array is proving to be a popular choice for education buildings thanks to its long term durability which means it can withstand areas of heavy wear and tear and keeps maintenance costs to a minimum. Array offers excellent value for money and is supplied with a 10-year limited wear warranty, meaning that it can be specified with complete confidence.
Array is also popular with contractors as it can be cut on site without risk of fraying, which allows individual flooring designs to be created and installed with ease.
Abby Chandler, Marketing Manager at Heckmondwike FB, said:
“We are delighted with the huge success of Array in its first 12 months. It helps schools and commercial buildings to create a striking, contemporary look, yet retaining the properties of durability and longevity for which fibre bonded carpet is renowned.”
