Architectural product manufacturer, Neaco, has supplied another specification at a major city centre project with the installation of aluminium balcony decking at the Skyline Apartments in Leeds.
Adjacent to the West Yorkshire Playhouse, the contemporary mixed-use development from Wellbeck Land Leeds Ltd comprises 128 luxury apartments within a 16-storey block built in front of and over the existing Playhouse workshops. Designed by Brewster Bye, the project also includes high quality retail and dining space.
With its acute-angled plan and projecting balconies featuring decking manufactured by Neaco, the tower provides a key landmark feature from the northern approach into the city centre. Its curved brick façade provides a visual link to the adjacent BBC studios and St Peters House.
Neaco’s Neatdek decking was selected for the project by construction and property project management consulting service, Total Project Integration (TPI). The product is renowned for its superb fire safety credentials, high load-bearing capacity, rust-free durability and ease of installation.
