Lignacite, a leading UK manufacturer of sustainable concrete blocks, is celebrating this month, following the launch of its new Building Matters podcast. Bringing together the construction industry’s best and brightest minds, it aims to shape the future of the sector and pick apart its thorniest challenges.
Season 1 starts with sustainability and the road to net zero – an issue very much at the forefront of Lignacite’s own operations. Like other industries, the construction sector faces an uphill battle to carbon neutrality, requiring changes to building design, materials and construction methods.
In the first episode, Lignacite’s Chairman, Giles de Lotbiniere, is joined by Michael Vanoli of AMA Architects, Adam West of CZWG Architects, and Lignacite’s Chief Operating Officer, Nick Franks. They sit down together to pull apart the subject of sustainability and take a deep dive into the steps needed to guide the design and construction sector towards a greener future.
By listening in, Lignacite hopes that others in the sector will gain key takeaways, which can be used to shape the future of their own businesses.
Commenting on the recording of the first episode, Giles de Lotbiniere, Chairman of Lignacite, said:
“In order to explore barriers to action and what may be done to overcome them, we have brought together a panel of experts to get their personal and professional views on the situation.
“In the Building Matters podcast, we aim to provide insights and support to architects, specifiers, contractors and manufacturers, helping them to understand the latest innovations and challenges in the construction sector.”
