Leading housebuilder Barratt Developments has appointed a new managing director to run its Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes divisions in Southampton.
With more than 16 years’ experience in the homebuilding industry, Tim Hill will be responsible for all aspects of the operation.
Tim is no stranger to the division having been promoted from finance director, a role he held for 11 years.
An accountant by profession he worked in private practice in Hampshire before moving into the housing sector.
Barratt David Wilson, which is based at Hedge End, is a major business in the region, and boasts 16 developments across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Dorset and West Sussex. A further two schemes will come on stream next month. The division employs 200 people together with a substantial workforce of subcontractors.
“Barratt is very good at succession planning, so while I relish the challenge of this exciting new role, I’m delighted to report that the division is well positioned going forward and it’s very much business as usual.”
He went on:
“We not only deliver outstanding homes in prime locations but we’re also committed to creating vibrant and welcoming communities at each and every one of our developments.
“One of my key focuses will be developing the team. We have some outstanding individuals and it’s my role to ensure they reach their potential.”
Tim lives with his wife and family in Waterlooville and lists golf and rugby as his interests.
