Select and install ROCKWOOL sleeved cavity barriers more simply with the launch of ROCKWOOL SCB (Sleeved Cavity Barrier) – a new EN-tested product which streamlines our cavity barrier range.
ROCKWOOL SCB builds and expands upon the scope of application of existing solutions TCB and PWCB and will succeed these products to improve the ROCKWOOL offering.
Features and Benefits
- Tested to BS EN 1366-4:2021
- 110mm and 200mm widths
- Suitable for cavities up to 290mm
- Horizontal and vertical installation
- Fire rating up to E120, I45, subject to the application
Application
The new product is tested for masonry/concrete to concrete, OSB (timber frame) and CP board (steel frame) applications, with a consistent 10mm compression fit.
Switch to SCB
Certifications for TCB and PWCB expire on 15th May 2024, the date from which SCB is available. Although TCB and PWCB will remain available for six months to 15th November 2024 to support existing specifications, ROCKWOOL recommends swapping new specifications to SCB wherever possible.
