Housebuilder’s help for first time buyers

A leading South Coast house builder is offering free expert guidance for first time buyers and those moving up the property ladder.

Persimmon Homes South Coast is hosting the Help to Buy advice weekend at The Paddocks at Picket Twenty development, in Andover on 27th-28th February (12 noon-4pm).

Nicole Creighton, sales manager for Persimmon Homes South Coast, explained how the Help to Buy weekend will inform buyers about how the scheme works.

“Our sales team are fully trained to offer practical assistance throughout the buying process and answer any questions buyers may have.

“An independent financial advisor will also be on hand to offer expert guidance and advice on Help to Buy and the new Help to buy ISA, helping potential home owners to understand the buying options available to them.

Nicole added:

“Anyone who reserves a house at The Paddocks during the weekend will receive £500 towards their legal fees.

“We look forward to offering a warm welcome, and light refreshments, to house hunters during our advice event and we are confident that we can help get buyers on to, or moving up, the property ladder”.

The Help to Buy scheme is available to everyone, not just first time buyers, on new build homes in England up to £600,000. Buyers only need a five percent deposit to secure their home, and there is no limit on the annual household income.

The new Help to Buy ISA offers a tax-free payment from the government of up to £6,000 for couples buying their first home, and interest rates of up to 4 per cent when saving for a deposit.

The Paddocks at Picket Twenty development is perfect for first time buyers and families, with a huge selection of one and two bedroom apartments as well as one to five bedroom homes. Situated alongside leisure facilities and proposed urban park, there is something for everyone at this prestigious new development.
