Greencore Homes Bolsters Growth Plans with Head of Planning Appointment

Award-winning sustainable housebuilder Greencore Homes has appointed Matthew Jeal as Head of Planning, strengthening its senior team as the business continues its ambitious growth plans.

Forward-thinking Greencore Homes is aiming to deliver 10,000 Better Than Net Zero homes by 2035. The business has attracted significant institutional backing from the likes of M&G and Homes England.

Matthew brings extensive experience across the residential development sector, with a strong track record in planning strategy, land promotion and delivering complex schemes. He joins Greencore Homes from CALA Group, where he was Head of Planning for the Cotswolds and then Chiltern regions. Prior to this, he held a number of senior positions, including Director roles at Beechcroft Developments, Country Estates and Darcliffe Homes, as well as Head of Planning & Development at Shanly Homes.

With a master’s degree in Spatial Planning, specialising in Urban Design from Oxford Brookes University, Matthew has developed deep expertise in planning legislation and law, negotiation, affordable housing and sustainable development.
