Designer Contracts – the UK’s largest flooring contractor – has invested more than £30,000 in specialist blind making machinery to manufacture blinds through the new arm of the business – designer shades.
The machinery to produce Venetian and roller blinds is now set up and in operation at the company’s national distribution facility in Kettering.
Peter Kelsey, md of Designer Contracts said :
“This investment further enhances our central curtain making facility which enables us to manage the production process from start to finish.
“It means that we keep our costs as low as possible to the benefit of all our customers, underpinning our promise of supplying our range of products at the most competitive price, as well as improving lead times by using our in-house transport fleet for efficient and speedy deliveries.”
The company offers a complete curtain and blind package. The curtain ranges start with an entry level Classic range, and is designed with buy-to-let customers in mind, offering affordable fabrics and accessories.
Select presents a wide variety of fabric designs to suit buyers looking for exceptional value but plenty of choice. And finally the Supreme collection features lavish fabrics and accessories, targeted towards house buyers looking to add a touch of luxury to their home.
“When we created our curtain and blind service we had three key intentions. The first was to develop a wide range of high quality curtains and blinds, the second was to ensure our prices were set at a fraction of other custom-made products, and last but not least, we wanted to provide our customers with the tools to help make the selling process easier.”
Designer Contracts has an in-house design team that works tirelessly to maintain a range of fabrics and accessories, ensuring windows can be individually dressed to suit every home buyer’s requirement. Including tiebacks, tracks and curtain poles, which represent all tastes and budgets.
The company operates across 12 UK regional facilities. As well as curtain and blind packs, the company provides furniture and lighting packs and operates a showhome design division. The company is also the UK’s largest provider of floorcoverings to the new build sector.
