B Corp Developer Treveth Increases Housing Delivery and Exceeds Energy Benchmarks

Treveth’s latest Impact Report shows strong residential delivery, high affordability levels and above-benchmark environmental performance during a challenging year for the development sector.

Cornwall-based B Corp developer Treveth has delivered 143 new homes in the past year — a 23% increase year on year — while maintaining high affordability, tenant satisfaction and environmental performance, according to its newly released Impact Report.

Covering the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, the report shows Treveth continued to perform strongly against its residential and commercial targets despite economic headwinds and pre-election uncertainty across the development sector.

The independently supported report, developed with The Good Economy, forms part of Treveth’s approach to measuring and improving its wider social, economic and environmental impact.

During the year, Treveth achieved its in-year housing target, with 92% of completed homes affordable to the average local earner. Affordable homes will account for 33% of the developer’s future construction pipeline, while Treveth and its registered provider partner, Perran Housing, now manage 285 homes.

The report also highlights strong operational performance across Treveth’s managed assets. Overall landlord satisfaction reached 88%, exceeding industry benchmarks, while its commercial portfolio of 108,000 sq ft supporting 38 businesses achieved a 95% occupancy rate.

Environmental performance remained a key focus, with 78% of homes achieving EPC A and 100% rated EPC B or above — exceeding national benchmarks. All schemes delivered biodiversity net gain of at least 10%.

Tim Mulholland, Managing Director at Treveth, said: “This year’s Impact Report shows that it is possible to continue delivering high-quality, affordable homes while maintaining strong environmental standards, even in a difficult market.

“Our focus remains on building long-term value for communities through energy-efficient homes, thriving commercial spaces and developments that contribute positively to local economies.”

Looking ahead, Treveth plans to expand its commercial portfolio and progress major regeneration schemes, including Pydar and Langarth Garden Village, as part of its contribution to a more resilient Cornish economy and the Carbon Neutral Cornwall 2030 ambition.

Founded by Cornwall Council, Treveth was established to improve the quality of rented accommodation and increase housing supply across private rental, shared ownership and private sale markets, prioritising homes for people with strong local connections.
