Housebuilder Avant Homes Central has submitted plans and exchanged contracts on a 9-acre site in Sutton-in-Ashfield to deliver a £23.1m, 84-home development.
Called Silverhill Edge, the site is located off Fisher Close just a 15-minute drive from Mansfield railway station.
Subject to planning, the development will comprise a mix of Avant Homes’ two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom practically designed, energy efficient homes.
Avant Homes has also committed to community contributions of £725,000 which will go towards improving local education, healthcare and public transport infrastructure.
If given the go ahead by Ashford District Council, work at the development is anticipated to start in August 2025 with the first residents expected to move in by April 2026.
Avant Homes Central director in charge, Matt Barker, said:
“Sutton-in-Ashfield is a fantastic location for us to further expand our development footprint in Nottinghamshire. As a company, we are committed to providing quality new homes for everyone in places where people want to live. Silverhill Edge is an excellent opportunity for us to deliver on this. We now look forward to Ashford District Council considering our plans to create a new thriving community in Sutton-in-Ashfield.”
Avant Homes Central is part of the Avant Homes Group, which operates across the Midlands, north of England and Scotland from eight regional operating businesses.
At present, Avant Homes Group employs more than 600 people. The housebuilder’s ambition is to develop its multi-tenure business further across its existing regions and beyond, creating communities as well as providing employment opportunities.
