Allison Homes South West has commenced work on its newest development in Tiverton. The regional housebuilder will bring 70 much-needed, affordable homes to the area.
This follows completion of the site, which took place in late November. The first homes will be available for occupation in summer 2025.
The development, which will be classed as 100% affordable, will be made up of a mix of one-, two-, three and four-bedroom properties. The homes will be delivered through LiveWest as a mixture of Shared Ownership and Social Rent.
Commenting on the development, Shaune Hicks, Operations Director at Allison Homes South West said: “We are delighted to have ‘broken-ground’ on our latest development at Post Hill in Tiverton.
“There is a desperate need for more affordable housing in Devon. For Allison Homes, this is not just about bricks and mortar; we hope to create a thriving community for local people.
“We are working in partnership with local contractor JAO Groundworks to build the 70 properties. As a business that shares our commitment to quality, JAO is a longstanding partner of Allison Homes and we hope to continue our relationship on future developments in the region.”
JAO has successfully completed over 250 homes in the South West region across four Allison Homes previous and ongoing projects.
This development is part of Allison Partnerships, a new division launched by the housebuilder, dedicated to creating high-quality affordable homes across the South West. The division aims to accelerate delivery of homes for customers by working with housing providers such as LiveWest.
