Greencore Homes Achieves B-Corp Certification

Award-winning Better Than Net Zero housebuilder Greencore Homes has officially been certified as a B-Corporation (B-Corp), joining a global community of businesses that balance profit with purpose. The certification means the company is meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Greencore Homes, with an excellent overall B Impact Assessment score of 114.5, represents one of only a small number of developers to achieve B-Corp.

The certification recognises Greencore Homes’ commitment to delivering Better Than Net Zero homes, pioneering sustainable business operations and championing a people and planet first approach to development. By meeting B Lab’s rigorous criteria, the company affirms its mission to transform the future of housing while creating positive impact for residents, communities and the wider environment.

Jon Di-Stefano, CEO of Greencore Homes, comments:

“Achieving B-Corp certification is a milestone that underscores everything we stand for at Greencore Homes. Our Better Than Net Zero homes are the result of years of innovation, integrity and a belief that the housing industry can build better – for people, for communities and for the planet.

“This certification reinforces our commitment to lead by example and to prove that delivering exceptional homes and driving meaningful environmental and social impact through our business operations should go hand in hand.

“As we continue to scale Greencore, the B-Corp principles will remain at the heart of our mission. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we’re even more excited about what we are going to deliver in the years ahead.”

To earn the B Corp designation, Greencore Homes underwent a comprehensive assessment of its practices across five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customers. The company’s pioneering use of bio-based materials, it’s Better Than Net Zero approach and its commitment to employee wellbeing and transparent governance contributed significantly to the certification.

Greencore’s B-Corp certification marks a catalyst for the company’s next chapter, strengthening its mission to deliver climate positive places such as The Canopies, a 42-home development in Oxfordshire, and accelerating progress toward its ambition to build 10,000 Better Than Net Zero homes by 2035.

Supported by long-term investment from M&G’s Catalyst fund and strong partnerships across the sector, Greencore will continue to champion innovation, transparency and responsibility in housebuilding. B-Corp principles will guide the company’s growth, ensuring that people, places and the planet remain at the heart of every home it delivers
