Bellway showhomes in Kent recognised at UK International Property Awards

The quality of showhomes at Bellway developments in Kent were celebrated at the United Kingdom International Property Awards.

The two-bedroom show apartment at Bellway Thames Gateway’s Crossways Quarter in Greenhithe and the five-bedroom Watchmaker show house at Bellway Kent’s DeHavilland Place in Kings Hill – both designed and styled by interiors specialists Show Business Interiors – were shortlisted in two separate categories of the awards.

At the ceremony, the award for Best Residential Property Interior (Apartment) went to the show apartment at Crossways Quarter, while the Watchmaker at DeHavilland Place took the Best Residential Property Showhome title.

The Watchmaker at DeHavilland Place is a five-bedroom house with an open-plan kitchen, dining and family room across the back of the property and bifold doors leading out to the garden, while there’s a luxurious sitting room to the front of the home. Two of the bedrooms have en suites, while two bedrooms designed for teenagers include a gaming-themed room and another inspired by a love of trainers.

Mark Harrop, Bellway Kent Sales Director, said: “The décor at our Watchmaker showhome at DeHavilland Place always impresses visitors with its sheer class and creativity. Carefully chosen accessories and a muted colour palette have been used to create a relaxed, yet sophisticated style and potential buyers find this highly desirable and aspirational. Yet it also includes some fun elements that make visitors smile.”

The show apartment at Crossways Quarter is a two-bedroom property within the Banwell Apartments building. It has an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room, styled with textured fabrics, statement lighting and elegant wall panelling.

Emma Denton, Bellway Thames Gateway Sales Director, said: “We felt this interior was a real success because it showcases how you can make this apartment your own. Show Business Interiors created a feel of modern luxury here, which buyers find inspiring.”

Amie Reeves, Sales Director for Show Business Interiors said: “We are thrilled to have won such prestigious awards at the International Property Awards. Our amazing team here at Show Business Interiors have worked extremely hard on both the Watchmaker and the Crossways Quarter apartment to ensure sophisticated and carefully analysed designs.

“The Watchmaker at DeHavilland Place is a sophisticated home filled with intriguing designs. It was important to make this space feel upmarket, while still including elements of fun and personality throughout. The muted colour palette allows the elegant feel to seamlessly flow through the home as you travel from space to space, but when you look a little deeper into each room, you’ll find personality-filled artwork and ornaments.

“The Crossways Quarter apartment includes rich colours, drawing the targeted buyer in with its bold design. The deep colours create a sophisticated, high-end ambience, allowing the buyer to feel a sense of luxury when entering the space. Accents of gold are seen throughout the home, complementing the daring colour palette and adding to the desired upmarket feel.”

The awards ceremony took place at a gala dinner at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, in London.
