The range of bespoke Ferro Porte Steel & Glass Internal Doors is available in a choice of 17 attractive geometric and traditional grid-like designs. The slim profile sections and glazed panels allow plenty of natural light to pass through the interior of a room whilst also providing inner vision. The range if proving extremely popular with contemporary new build projects.
Each door can be perfectly tailored to meet exact requirements. Zakuna can also develop unique and personalised designs, working closely alongside interior designers and architects to help bring vision and ideas to life.
Design & Specification
Door frames, stiles and rails are made from strong and durable steel, fabricated from a choice of 20-40mm x 40-50mm profiles, dependent on configuration and specification. Face fixed steel beadings are 15mm square which creates the individual door styling.
Glazed panels are 6mm Clear Safety Toughened Glass as standard. A choice of glass options include Fluted or Reeded Glass, Tinted, Smoked, Mirrored, Frosted or Sandblasted Motif Patterns, Laminated Glass (4+4mm) Fire Rated Glass (7mm) and Acoustic Glass (9.5mm).
Every Ferro Porte Door is engineered with complete precision. Doors are pre-hung in the factory for perfect alignment and closure with CNC engineering of fittings and ironmongery for high performance and easy operation. Premium features include magnetic latches and flexible door seals for soft closure. Standard hinges are visible, colour matched to the door finish. Concealed hinges can be specified as an option, hidden within the door return, for clean lines and a minimalistic look.
Ferro Porte Doors can be manufactured in a choice of door configurations, depending on the aesthetic and functional requirements, including Hinged, Pivot, Sliding, Pocket, Bi-Fold, together with a choice of fanlights, sidelights or fixed screens. As an option, FD30 Fire Rated Doors can be specified to suit any door style, including doors with a Pocket Door System. Concealed hinges are fitted for FD30 compliance.
The door leaf sizes range between: 1960mm – 2400mm height, 610mm -1500mm width, with fixed screens up to 3000mm height.
Modern LH701 Black Door Handles with silver latches are fitted as standard, designed to blend seamlessly with the black steel. Steel profiles can also be finished in choice of painted colours in patinated, matt and gloss finishes to create the perfect style. An extensive range of elegant door handles is available in various finishes to match the coloured finish. Pull handles can also be specified to suit the slimmest profile sections for a minimalistic. Latch boxes/back plates can be added to any door, for styling or to accommodate door lever handles with a rose, and/or a key or bathroom lock.
Ferro Porte M111
Since the product launch in Autumn 2023, interest has been steadily growing and production capacity has increased significantly. Ferro Porte is increasingly being specified by architects, builders and leading property developers.
One such project is the new masterpiece, developed and delivered by internationally acclaimed, multi award winning developer Guy Pheonix. The Nottingham based property developer is one of the country’s most sought after bespoke home specialists, building bespoke homes for clients across the UK.
Tall Trees as an outstanding, statement contemporary home, located within the unspoilt South Nottinghamshire village of Widmerpool,with an interior layout measuring almost 8,000 sq/ft, every inch of detail designed, crafted and installed by artisan specialists and bespoke experts.
A suite of Zakuna ‘Ferro Porte’ Steel & Glass Internal Doors were specified to add a minimalist and contemporary look to this stunning property, keeping the maximum amount of natural light flowing through the interior, whilst also providing inner vision.
The Ferro Porte M111 doors chosen for this project have a unique square, diagonal design which looks stunning, with clear glass panels and 15mm face fixed steel beadings. This attractive design creates striking aesthetics throughout the interior.
All double doors have rebated leading edges, fitted with pre-installed shoot-bolts.
The steel profiles are finished in RAL 9005 Matt, with L Shape Pull Handles welded to the leading edge of each door sash.
Double doors with wide sidelights to each side were specified, leading to the interior pool and spa, creating an inviting entrance. Two sets of double doors were specified to the kitchen. The double doors to the dining room were designed with an integral 4 panel fixed screen, spanning over 5m in width. This configuration creates a spectacular feature between the rooms, allowing good vision through to the kitchen.
All doors were delivered as supply only and fitted on-site by the client.
A suite of double and single Zakuna Designo Inlaid IN103 Timber Internal Door Sets were also chosen for their classic, yet contemporary feel, finished with an Oak Veneer and bespoke Grey Stain. The design was specified with a rectangular 12mm black painted wooden inlay, 110mm in from the edges of the door. This detail emulates the black steel of the Zakuna Ferro Porte Doors, creating a feeling of opulence.
