Oscar Acoustics, British soundproofing specialists, has developed the Oscar Iso-Mount range of isolating acoustic hangers, which significantly reduce the transmission of noise from the room above to help restore the Zen of a peaceful home.
Fast and simple to install, the Iso-Mount Type1 and Type2 are designed to tackle the problem of noise transfer between floors and ceilings in any space, from houses, flats and apartments to offices, shops and restaurants.
The Iso-Mount Type1 for ceiling joists comes with an approved BRE fire rating of over 90-minutes and is compliant with British building regs Approved Document E for airborne and impact sound.
The Type1 acoustic hanger is height adjustable, allowing for flat ceilings across uneven joists and loses as little as 6mm of ceiling height.
The Iso-Mount Type2 significantly expands the versatility of the Oscar Iso-Mount range allowing for installation where plasterboard ceilings cannot be removed, e.g., in listed buildings or under concrete. The Iso-Mount Type2 can fix directly under existing ceilings without disruption, or with extensions for 50mm to over 1 metre voids for services and thermal insulation. With both models there are no interruptions to the room above, with all work being carried out from the floor below.
