Thackeray Estates has just obtained planning permission to renovate the historic Dover House, a former Victorian hotel dating back to 1895, into the Southbank’s most luxurious boutique apartment scheme. The new £16 million ultra-prime project will provide nine luxury apartments priced from £1million – launching through agent Jackson Stops in September 2014 (in terms of £ per sqft the apartments will average £1,150 to £1,250 per sqft)

Brett and Antony are using Nicola Fontanella of Argent Design “interior designer to the celebrity set” to undertake the specification and interior design of the new apartments. Nicola Fontanella’s clients include Madonna, Freddie Ljungberg and Guy Ritchie – and her designs will bring “a slice of Belgravia to Waterloo.”

Waterloo, the new Belgravia? Thackeray Estates believe that Waterloo is the last Prime Zone 1 district to benefit from regeneration, adjacent to Westminster and Whitehall and ideal for regeneration and capital value uplift. This is the first of a series of similar projects that Thackeray Estates plan to undertake over the next few years in leading inner London addresses.

Fronting onto Westminster Bridge Road and Lower Marsh Street, Dover House provides over 16,000 sq. ft. of accommodation. Situated in the heart of Waterloo, Dover House is within walking Distance to some of London’s greatest landmarks, including; the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the Old Vic theatre.

Thackeray Estates was established in the 1960’s, In 2012 the company was acquired by Brett Palos and Antony Alberti and transformed into an asset management and development business. Property investment and development company, Thackeray Estates, has obtained planning permission to renovate the historic Dover House, a former hotel and restaurant in Waterloo, into nine luxury residential apartments, complete with commercial space.
