British modular homes business will operate at scale, delivering 2,000 homes a year to tackle the UK’s housing shortage

ilke homes, a British modular homes business specialising in intelligent off-site build processes, will trade from today under the direction of chief executive Björn Conway. ilke homes will operate at scale to deliver high-quality, desirable and affordable homes, creating inspiring places to live and tackling the UK’s affordable housing crisis.

ilke homes was established as a joint venture between Keepmoat Homes and Elliott, leveraging their experience in the design, manufacture and installation of quality residential and commercial buildings.

With a demonstration site at a Greater London Authority site in Gallions Reach, ilke homes has already attracted widespread interest. The business is now working with a select number of leading housing associations and local authorities, who are equally committed to a modular approach to the construction of affordable homes. In response, ilke home’s shareholders have injected fresh capital to establish a dedicated UK manufacturing facility which will open in early 2018.

Within two years, ilke homes is expecting to build 2,000 homes per year, from its UK factory. These homes will be attractive and energy-efficient, with kerb appeal and durability equal to that of traditionally-built houses, but constructed in half the time.

ilke homes are volumetric and are delivered on-site with all internal and external finishes complete, including kitchens and bathrooms, so residents can move in quickly with very little additional work required. Offering a range of customisable house types and layouts, the homes can be designed to meet the needs of individuals and the local communities they serve.
