At the recent CEDIA Awards, Cyberhomes’ project in Lutterworth was awarded ‘highly commended’ status in the ‘Best Integrated Home £120,000 and under’ category.
The award recognises the quality of a fully-integrated automation and entertainment system designed, built and delivered by Cyberhomes. Attention to detail at every stage from initial design, through cabling and installation to final commissioning and handover ensured a reliable connected home with integrated control of lighting, heating, security and AV (including a dedicated cinema room).
Cyberhomes Director Ion Smith said:
“Home buyers are demanding ever-increasing standards of control and automation in their homes. Developers often don’t realise just how much can be achieved and how cost effective it can be if a smart home specialist is brought in early enough in the property design phase.”
Cyberhomes’ client added:
“We started working with Cyberhomes right at the very beginning of the project, so were able to fully optimise the automation system. The installation went really smoothly, and now we have a smart home that really works for us. It makes the management of the house so much easier, no matter whether we are at home or in Barbados—and that’s good for our busy lives.”
Cyberhomes work closely with developers, housebuilders, architects, interior designers and M&E consultants from the very start, wherever possible, to integrate control and AV systems with the overall building design and performance. The Cyberhomes founders have a background in outside-broadcasting technology for the BBC and take the same rigorous
approach with the equipment, cabling and software behind home automation projects. AV racks are built and tested at Cyberhomes’ rack building facility in Thame and all the wiring looms created in a controlled environment before installation.
